Summary: | PURPOSE:To easily assemble the bipolar electrolytic cell by plating the bonding surfaces of the anode chamber unit and cathode chamber unit with a metal capable of being soldered and soldering both units. CONSTITUTION:The bipolar electrolytic cell 1 is formed with an anode chamber unit 2 (e.g. made of titanium) and a cathode chamber unit 3 (e.g. made of nickel). In this case, the partition 9 of the unit 2 is electroless-plated with nickel. The partition 9 and the partition 12 of the unit 3 are bonded by a solder 15, and both units are integrated with an electrode chamber frame 4. Consequently, the bipolar electrolytic cell is easily assembled and disassembled without damaging the electrode chamber. |
