PURPOSE:To realize a low noise in a hot water heater by a method wherein a specified spacing is kept from an outer ornamental surface of a main body of the hot water feeder and a sound absorbing panel composed of a sound absorbing material and a sound absorbing component or the like is fixed to it. CONSTITUTION:Sound ahsorbing panels 9 composed of a sound absorbing material such as a glass wool board, a foamed polyurethane board or the like or a board having substantial corrugations and causing sound to be disturned or attenuated are fixed to a main body 1 of a hot water feeder at its rear surface or side surfaces with some metal fittings 3 while keeping a spatial distance defined by the construction Standard law being kept against it. Similar sound insulation panels 9 are also fitted to a floor surface. An original effect of the sound absorbing panels 9 can not be attained unless a size of the sound insulation panels 9 is larger than a size of an air discharging part 4 of the main body 1 of the hot water feeder. The sound absorbing panels 9 are fixed not only to the wall side of the mounted housing itself but also to the side surfaces of the housing by the metal fittings 3. The sound absorbing panels can absorb not only the reflected or responding sounds from the wall surface but also insulate the sounds. combustion sound and air blowing sound generated from the main body 1 of the hot water feeder are absorbed, attenuated and insulated with the sound absorbing panels 9 and then a handy low noise type hot water feeder can be provided.
