PURPOSE:To transfer a print data directly not through a host processing unit by storing once a received print data to a storage section, reading the stored print data and print control code and printing out the print data onto a printer based on the print control code. CONSTITUTION:When terminal equipments 1, 6 are connected, a control section 8 acts like a 3rd print data transfer control section and sends a prescribed data to a control section 3 of the terminal equipment when not in the print enable state such as a busy printer 10 by other equipment or a faulty printer. The control section 3 of the terminal equipment 1 acts like at first a 1st print data transfer control section and discriminates whether or not the printer 10 is in the print enable state depending whether or not the prescribed data is sent from the control section 8. When the print enable state is discriminated as the result, the control section 3 acts like a 2nd print data transfer control section and reads the print data to be transferred from an input output device 2 based on the name of the data.
