Summary: | PURPOSE:To reduce a turning force generated on a head and the deviation of a shot ball from a target by supporting asymmetrically movably a weight which is symmetrical with respect to the vertical plane passing through the center of gravity of the hollow club head perpendicularly to a ball hitting surface on a vertical support section in the interior of the head and providing a means for urging the weight to a position which is plane symmetrical with the vertical plane. CONSTITUTION:When a ball driving portion 7 gets out of the intersection line of a vertical plane P passing through the center G of gravity of a club head 1 and the ball hitting surface 2 in hitting a ball 6, the head 1 tends to turn clockwise of the ball hitting portion 7. However, since a weight 3 which is symmetrical with a vertical plane P passing through the center G of gravity perpendicularly to the ball driving surface 2 is provided in the hollow head 1 and the weight 3 is supported asymmetrically movably with a vertical support portion 4 in the vertical plane P, the weight 3 is moved rearward of the ball hitting portion 7 against a leaf spring 5 for urging the weight 3 to a symmetrical position with the vertical plane. Thus, the head 1 is blocked from being pivoted about the ball hitting portion 7. |
