Summary:PURPOSE:To facilitate the formation of the color images of plural systems by developing monochromic negative latent images by using monochromic toner, superimpose-developing multicolor positive latent images by using plural colors of multicolor toner, and simultaneously transferring these monochromic and multicolor toner images to a recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:When a latent image carrier 1 rotates once, the negative latent images are formed thereon by a monochromic latent image forming means 2, and the monochromic toner images are formed. On the other hand, when the latent image carrier 1 rotates once, the multicolor positive latent images are formed thereon by a multicolor latent image forming means 4, and the multicolor toner images are formed by using these plural colors of the toner of a multicolor developing means 5. When this latent image carrier 1 rotates once, the polaritys of the monochromic and multicolor toner images are made uniform by a pre-transfer treating means 6, and the images are simultaneously transferred to the recording sheet 8 by a transfer means 7. By thus simultaneously transferring the color images of the plural color systems, image forming time can be shortened and the color images of the plural color systems can be easily obtained.
