Summary: | PURPOSE:To get smooth running condition by controlling the transmission torque so that the ratio of the torque to be transmitted to the front wheel side to the torque to be transmitted to the rear wheel side may decrease accompanying the increase of lateral acceleration and increase accompanying the longitudinal acceleration during the turning of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The output of an engine is transmitted to an epicyclic gear type differential gear 12 through an automatic gearbox, etc., and the output of this differential gear 12 is transmitted, on one side, to right and left front wheels 16 and 18 through differential gear 14 for front wheel, and, on the other side, to right and left rear wheels 24 and 26 through a propeller shaft 20 and a differential gear 22 for rear wheel. In such power transmission, a hydraulic multiple disk clutch 28 is interposed between the ring gear 12c and the carrier of the differential gear 12, a pressure control valve 56 is installed between the hydraulic chamber and the hydraulic source 54. And this pressure control valve 56 is controlled so that it may reduce the transmission torque ratio of the rear wheel accompanying the increase of lateral acceleration and increase it accompanying the increase of longitudinal acceleration during turning of the wheel. |
