PURPOSE:To obtain the high polymer for deodorization which has excellent deodorization performance to lower aldehyde and acidic gases at ordinary temp., is easy in handling and has excellent safety, stability, workability, etc., by obtaining the conjugate of the specific high polymer and specific polyalkylene imine per 1g of this high polymer. CONSTITUTION:The high polymer having >=2.1mmol/g anionic functional group is conjugated with the polyalkylene imine of >=0.4 milli equiv. per 1g high polymer. The high polymer having the anionic functional group to be used is, for example, of acrylic-based, polyester-based, cellulose polyacrylic acid-based, maleic acid/phthalic acid (copolymer), a high polymer formed by graft- polymerizing acrylic acid with starch, etc., and the shape thereof may be any of powder, grain, film, fiber, etc. The polyalkylene imine is expressed by NH2(CR2CR2NH)nH (R:H, alkyl group) and the polyalkylene imine with which the number of carbon atoms of R (alkyl group) are 1 to 6 and further preferably R is H (hydrogen).
