Summary:PURPOSE:To automatically correct the rotation of the rotation axis of a gear to be cut by calculating the required correction value of the rotation axis of the gear to be cut in accordance with the moving distance of a hob shifting axis and adding the correction value to the rotation axis of the gear to be cut. CONSTITUTION:The hob 1 is rotated by a spindle motor 3 to execute the cutting work of the gear 11 to be cut. A position coder 4 outputs a feedback pulse string proportional to the rotation of a hob rotation axis (Y axis) 12. A Y axis control means 5 shifts a hob moving axis 13 through a feeding axis (Z axis) 14 based upon a Y axis shifting command of a hob shifting axis (Y axis) 2. A C axis correcting pulse computing means 6 calculates a C axis correcting pulse for rotating the work 11 in accordance with the shifting variable of the moving part 13. On the other hand, a C axis synchronizing control means 7 controls the rotation of a work rotation axis (C axis) 10 based upon a feedback pulse obtained from the coder 4. The correction pulse applied from the means 6 is added to the C axis synchronizing pulse applied from the means 7 by an adder 8 and an output signal from the adder 8 is sent to a C axis control means 9. The means 9 rotated the rotation axis 10.
