Summary:PURPOSE:To produce the title foam excellent in resiliency while reducing the amount of a fluorohydrocarbon used to a smaller amount or zero by reacting a specified polyol component with a specified polyisocyanate component in the presence of a blowing agent, a catalyst and other suitable adjuvants. CONSTITUTION:A polyol component having at least two hydroxyl groups at least 15mol% of which are prim. hydroxyl groups and having a mol.wt. of 1000-20000 (e.g. a polyol prepared by addition-polymerizing propylene oxide with ethylene oxide by using glycerol as an initiator) is reacted with a polyisocyanate component having at least two isocyanate groups, comprising a diphenylmethane diisocyanate/toluene diisocyanate mixture (mixture of their derivatives) (A) and a polyisocyanate (B) comprising polyphenylpolymethylene polyisocyanate of a functionality of 3 or more, containing at most 18 pts.wt. component B based on 100 pts.wt. total of components A and B and further containing 10-50 pts.wt. toluene diisocyanate (derivative) and the balance of diphenylmethane diisocyanate (derivative) in the presence of a blowing agent, a catalyst and other suitable adjuvants.
