Summary: | PURPOSE:To improve the energy utilization efficiency of a process plant as a whole by properly controlling the quantity of coal fired, an oxygen ratio, and an oxygen-enriching rate. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of coal to be processed is determined depending upon the total energy required of a process plant. In the total energy, the ratio of oxygen blown in is determined depending upon the ratio of the quantity of steam required to the quantity of combustible gas required, and the oxygen- enriching rate of air blown in is determined depending upon a calorific value of gas required. Based on these determinations, a valve 17 for adjusting the coal feed rate, a valve 18 for adjusting the flow rate of combustion air, and a valve 19 for adjusting the oxygen-enriching rate installed in a combustible gas generator 10 are regulated to operate a coal partial combustion gasifier 1. The generated combustible gas is introduced into a boiler 2 for heating boiler feedwater supplied into a feedwater pipe 4 to generate steam. The generated steam is sent to a steam line 11 through a steam pipe 3. On the other hand, the combustible gas is sent to a gas holder 6 through a gas pipe 5. |
