Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain the printing plate which does not require transfer and has good printing resistance by forming a toner image directly on the charge holding layer of a charge holding medium by a voltage impressing and exposing system. CONSTITUTION:A desired electrostatic latent image is formed on the charge holding layer 6 of the charge holding medium 2 and the charge holding medium 2 is disconnected from a power source 8. A toner 16 is applied on the charge holding layer 6 and is developed; in succession, the medium is heated to fix the toner 16 and to form the toner image 16 on the charge holding layer 6. Etching is then executed with the toner 16 as a mask to remove the parts of the charge holding layer 6 where the toner 16 is not stuck. The need for transferring the toner image is eliminated in this way and the high printing resistance is obtd. |
