Summary:PURPOSE:To raise the limit speed of flame flying and broaden the range of stable combustion by providing a plus electrode near a flame hole on a ceiling plate which is made of an electricity insulation material and a minus electrode in the cross section of the flame hole and applying a voltage to both electrodes daring combustion to generate an electrical field. CONSTITUTION:A flame hole 11 is provided at the center of a ceiling plate 10 made of ceramics, and a gas fuel that is introduced from below is passed through the flame hole 11 and it is burned above the flame hole 11. A plus electrode 20 is provided near the circumference of the flame hole 11 on the ceiling plate 10 and a minus electrode 30 is provided in the cross section of the flame hole 11. If a plus voltage is applied between the electrode 20 and electrode 30 during combustion, a direct current electrical field is created. The plus ions that are ionized on the flame face during combustion flows under force from the side of the plus electrode 20 towards the flame hole 11 where the minus electrode lies by the influence of the electrical field and the ions collide with other gas molecules that exist on the flame face and pushes the flame towards the flame hole 11. The flame is thereby held stable against a high flow rate of the supplied fuel. This effect is more effective by using the ceiling plate made of the ceramics that is an electricity insulating material and by arranging the plus electrode 20 and minus electrode 30 in said locations.
