Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain a specific oxide in high purity by introducing into a hot oven a mineral containing plural oxides, vaporizing a specific oxide in the mineral, cooling the vapor produced, and by first subjecting the resultant specific oxide particles to a magnetic separation-type scavenging machine to scavenge and separate the accompanying Fe3O4 particles followed by recovering the specific oxide particles. CONSTITUTION:A mineral (e.g. fly ash) containing plural oxides is injected (e.g. using oxygen gas), through a nozzle 6, into a hot oven 1 fed 5 with both a fuel and an oxidizing agent (e.g. O2); at the same time, the temperature in the oven 1 is maintained at a level not lower than the boiling point of a specific oxide (e.g. SiO2, boiling point: 2230 deg.C), and the vapor of said specific oxide produced is brought out of the oven 1 and cooled 7, and the Fe3O4 particles contained in the resulting specific oxide particles is separated and scavenged using a magnetic separation-type scavenging machine 12 (e.g. a bag filter-type dust collector) followed by recovering 13 the specific oxide particles. |
