Summary: | PURPOSE:To improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs of a device by bending sequentially the ends of projections extending through a strip, and welding portions where bent ends fall on the adjacent projections. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric laminate 4 includes piezoelectric plates 1, and electrodes 2 each having a projection 2a on one end. The plates and electrodes are alternately laminated in such a manner that adjacent electrodes have their projections 2a extending in opposite directions. A thin and very soft strip 4 of thermosetting insulating resin, which is wider than the projection 2a, is applied on each surface of the laminate 4 and under the projections. Since the strip 5 is hardened by heat, the projections 2a are bent and overlapped one another on the hardened strip. The overlapped portions are welded and they are electrically connected. Therefore, the projections are connected each other in a manner that the electrodes 2 of the opposite polarities exposed at both surfaces of the laminate are isolated. In this constitution, it is possible to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs. |
