PURPOSE:To produce a conveyance roll improving the surface finishing characteristic of a plated steel sheet by fitting and fixing a cylindrical base part on the outside peripheral surface of a roll shaft core and attaching and fixing plural wholly aromatic polyamide resin plates of the prescribed bending moment to the whole surface of the outside peripheral part of the cylindrical base part. CONSTITUTION:A press-fit assisting resin layer 2 (containing heat resisting material, such as carbon) is formed on the practically whole surface of the outside peripheral surface of a roll shaft core 1, and a cylindrical stainless steel plate 3 is fitted and fixed by means of press fitting on the outside of the above surface. Subsequently, plural wholly aromatic polyamide resin plates 4 are provided to the outside peripheral surface of the cylindrical stainless steel plate 3 so that they cover the practically whole surface of the plate 3. These resin plates 4 are curved into a bending moment corresponding to the outside diameter of the steel plate 3. A nut 40 is embedded in the internal surface side of each resin plate 4 mentioned above and, on the other hand, boltholes are provided in the steel plate 3, and a bolt 41 is inserted from the internal surface side of the steel plate 3 and screwed into the nut 40 to attach and fix respective resin plates 4 to the steel plate 3, and further, respective seams between the resin plates 4 are sealed with resin 5 for filling. By this method, the conveyance roll improving the surface finishing characteristic of a plated steel sheet to a greater extent can be obtained.
