Summary:PURPOSE:To facilitate the installation and removal of a cover and an illuminating device by fixing the cover to a front frame so as to define a cavity for the illuminating device and a wiring space between the front frame and the cover. CONSTITUTION:Each of transparent plates 30 is covered at its four sides, that is, upper and lower sides and front and rear sides, with a frame body consisting of front frames 40, a rear frame 41, an upper frame 42 and a lower frame 43, and is secured to a heat-insulating wall 2 through the intermediary of the frame body. Each of a pair of front frames 40 is formed therein with a groove 45 in which the front end of the transparent plate 30 is fitted, and is also formed, at the front end thereof, a fold-back section 46A so as to form a storage section 46 which is contiguous to an outer wall 45B, extending forward and which defines a wiring space S laterally from one side surface of the heat insulting wall 2 and in front of the groove 45. A locking piece 47 for locking and fixing a pawl of a cover 50 is formed at the front end of the fold back section 46A, and a locking piece 49 for locking the other end of the cover 50 is formed on an inner wall 45C, being projected from the latter. Accordingly, the installation and removable of a fluorescent lamp 60 and the cover 50 are facilitated, and a cavity damps a shock which is exerted to the front of the display casing, thereby it is possible to protect the illuminating device and the transparent plate.
