Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain the electrostatic recording body having a high recording density without impairing practicable adaptability, such as fixability and curling, and recording characteristics, such as fine voids and abnormal dots, by incorporating tetra-n-butyl titanate into a dielectric layer. CONSTITUTION:The dielectric layer essentially consisting of an insulating resin and pigment is provided on a conductive base. The tetra-n-butyl titanate is incorporated into the dielectric layer in this case. The amt. of the tetra-n-butyl titanate into the dielectric layer is preferably adjusted within a range of 1 to 20 wt.%, more preferably 1 to 15 wt.% of the total solid content of the dielectric layer. The recording density is improved in this way and the recording body balanced in quality is obtd. without lowering the practicable use characteristics and recording characteristics.
