PURPOSE:To restrain the whole height of a vulcanizing machine by providing a split mold operating shaft in making it coaxially outwardly fit in a central mechanism coaxially and further providing a mold container on a lower platen and allowing the mold container and the split mold to go up and down relatively and thus moving the split mold to the diameter direction. CONSTITUTION:After a green tire 1 is inserted into a split mold 3 and then subjected to mold clamp, it is vulcanized in a state that a molding plug 2 is appended to the inner surface of the green tire 1. The vulcanized tire 1A is removed and thereafter, as an operating cylinder 52 is pushed up, respective split molds 6 which are dovetail-joined with respect to a lower mold 8 and the mold container 4 rise and open outwardly in the diameter direction and thus the tire 1A is disloged therefrom. After removing of the tire, when the operating cylinder 52 is actuated downwardly, the split mold 6 descends relatively with respect to the mold container 4 and, as a result, respective split molds 6 close in the diameter direction.
