Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an inductor and a transformer of small size and having improved high frequency characteristics by a method wherein a Sendust composite material, which is formed by dispersing Sendust fine particles into resin, is used for a magnetic core. CONSTITUTION:The title transformer is composed of a magnetic core 1 around which an insulator-coated conductor 2 is wound, and a primary coil and a secondary coil are provided by winding two systems of conductors 2 on the magnetic core 1. Besides, when the primary coil only is wound on the core 1, it functions as an inductor. A sendust composite material, formed by dispersing Sendust fine grains into resin, is used as the magnetic core 1, and this Sendust composite material is formed into a flat plate of 5mum to 5mm in thickness by conducting a resin molding operation and the like. As a result, a flat and microscopic transformer can be formed, and high frequency characteristics can also be improved.
