Summary:PURPOSE:To pick up a video image from an intended position without being notified by a visitor by separating a camera unit from a slave set independently. CONSTITUTION:A camera unit 11 is provided separately from a slave set 1 at a position such as above a gatedoor or at a position not remarkable to the gatedoor. When a call button 17 is depressed by a visitor, a call tone is generated. Simultaneously, a power voltage in a power supply circuit 28 is boosted from a standby voltage into an operating voltage and the boosted power supply voltage is supplied to a monitor TV 22 and a camera unit 11 of the slave set 1 via signal lines 3, 4. A video signal outputted from the camera unit 11 is fed to a slave set 3 through the signal line 4, modulated by a modulation circuit 12 and sent to a master set 2 through the signal line 3.
