PURPOSE:To reduce noise at the time of operation by using a damping steel board to form a bulkhead for closing a side of the piston top dead center of a cylinder chamber in which the piston is slidably placed. CONSTITUTION:A bulkhead 41 for closing a side of the piston top dead center of a cylinder chamber 43 is formed of a damping steel board, while the surface (steel face) of the damping steel board is in contact with an intake plate-like valve body 57 in the periphery of an intake port 53. The damping steel board is constituted of two steel boards 101, 103 integrally fixed with a soft material 105 such as a high polymer material interposed between the boards 101, 103. Further since the surface of the damping steel board is in contact with an exhaust plate-like valve body 59 on a side of an anti-cylinder chamber 43 in the periphery of an exhaust port 55 of the bulkhead 41, noise due to contact between the peripheries of the intake port 53 and the exhaust port 55 of the bulkhead 41 and the intake plate-like valve body 57 and the exhaust plate-like valve body 59 and noise due to vibration of the bulkhead 41 accompanying air suction and exhaust can be reduced as well as impact can be absorbed.
