Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of a hand and to enable high speed robot conveyance by fixing a gripping jaw to a plural pairs of axes arranged horizontally and in parallel and rotated in the direction opposite to each other and by so constituting that an upper surface of a work is pressed with a pressing piece when the gripping jaw grips the work. CONSTITUTION:After an arm 1a is lowered, a working rod 7a is advanced by driving of a driver 7, a gripping jaw 11 is rotated in the direction brought close to each other through a lever 8 and spur gear 10, and a bent part at its end is engaged with a griping hole 5a of a work 5 so as to grip the work. Next, a pressing piece 13 is lowered by a working rod 12a through driving of a driver 12, and an upper edge part of the work 5 is pressed so as to prevent its floating. And the arm 1a is raised, turned and lowered so as to mount the work 5 on a pallet.
