Summary:PURPOSE:To increase an effective membrane area of hollow yarns by a method wherein a bundle of hollow yarns is received partially in a supporting member and vibrations are imparted when liq. resins are filled and cured between the hollow yarns to improve the potting state and uniformly smooth the upper face of the potting part. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of hollow yarns wherein the hollow yarns are received at least partially in a supporting member and liq. resins (fixing member) are filled and cured between the hollow yarns therein, there is provided a process of imparting mechanical vibrations to the supporting member contg. the hollow yarns and the liq. resins, while the fluidity of the liq. resins is retained. By the mechanical vibrations thus imparted at the time of filling and curing the liq. resins, air bubbles in the liq. resins are removed therefrom to improve the potting state and uniformly smooth the upper face of the liq. resins in the potting part, whereby an effective membrane area of the hollow yarns can be increased. Additionally, the anchoring effect leads to the strengthening of the fixed state of the hollow yarns.
