Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain a double-side coated steel sheet for a drown can which is capable of being manufactured and has excellent performance within one high-speed manufacturing line by forming a saturated polyester resin film having an amorphous crystalline structure on one side of this thin steel sheet and forming a polyolefine-based resin film formed at the specified temp. or below on the other side. CONSTITUTION:Metal such as Ni, Sn, Cr and Al or alloy thereof is plated on the surface of a thin steel sheet wherein pretreatment such as degreasing and pickling has been completed. Thereafter chromate treatment is performed on the upper layer thereof and then a saturated polyester resin film is thermally contact-bonded on the single side of this steel sheet. Thereafter the saturated polyester resin film which has an amorphous crystalline structure having <=5% crystallinity is obtained by heating the steel sheet at m.p. or more of resin and quenching it. Then a watersoluble polyolefine-based resin film which is dried at the cold crystallization temp. or below of this polyester resin film and is capable of film formation is applied to the other single side. When this steel sheet is molded into a can body, the available effect can be expected by utilizing the polyolefine-based resin film face to the external surface of the can and utilizing the saturated polyester resin film face to the internal surface of the can. |
