Summary: | PURPOSE:To make it possible to interchange the holding of a turning tool and a rotary tool by having a tool head formed in a straight shank, forming an engaging part on a side face thereof, pivotally securing a main shaft in the tool head, installing a tool on one end of he main shaft and forming a motive power input means on other end thereof. CONSTITUTION:A tool holding base 2 is pushed forward in the direction A by driving a cylinder 47 to insert into a head hole 3a tool head 35 pivotally securing a main shaft 42. Next, a rod 29 is pushed forward in the direction C marked with an arrow using a cylinder 25 to engage a serration 30 with 39. When the rod 29 is furtherly moved in the direction C, a shank 37 is pushed out toward the direction C due to the wedge action of serrations, 30 and 39, to securely hold it in the head hole 3. By moving it toward the direction B, the tool head 35 is installed and held at a specified position in the head hole 3. In such a condition, a motor 16 is rotated to turn the main shaft and a rotary tool 43 through a pulley shaft 10, a transmission shaft 19 and clutch claws, 19a and 45. The same applies to a turning tool 49. |
