CONSTITUTION:A kidney-protecting solution capable of being used not only for protecting the tissues and cells of a kidney lapsed into a necrosis state is a body on the operation of the kidney, etc., but also for preserving a kidney nucleated for the implantation thereof comprises a crystalloid solution, preferably a lactic acid Ringer solution, containing a physiologically acceptable water- soluble salt, preferably sodium or potassium salt hydrate, of phosphoenol pyruvic acid of the formula (R1 is H or 1-12C alkyl; R2 and R3 are H, alkali metal or 1-12C alkyl) is a concentration of 0.01-10%, preferably 0.2-4%.
