Summary:A chroma signal phase correction circuitry to be used in a video information signal playback system for playing back the video information recorded on a recording medium, having a special playback mode of operation for jumping from one portion of recording tracks to the other, comprises a plurality of phase correction channel having a substantially constant frequency amplitude characteristics and a phase characteristics satisfying a condition that the difference between the phase shift values of each of the phase correction channel is equal to the difference between the phase of the color subcarrier signals of the color video signals from adjacent two recording track portions, and a switching means for selecting one of the phase correction channels for allowing the color video signal to pass therethrough, whereby compensating for the phase shift of the chroma signal during the jump operation while maintaining a phase of a luminance signal component of the color video signal.
