Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of an impeller and to improve blast efficiency by a method wherein a plurality of blades are held between the nip formed by front and rear shrouds to form an impeller, and a fold edge making contact with the inner end part of the blade is formed to the port edge of the intake air port of the front shroud. CONSTITUTION:An impeller is formed with a plurality of blades 25, a front shroud 31 provided at its central part with an intake air port 31a, and a rear shroud 32 to integrally form them by means of caulked parts 33. The edge of the intake air port 31a of the front shroud 31 is folded toward the motor side to form a fold line 31b, which is brought into contact with the inner end surface of the blade 25. Thereby, since the blade 25 is functioned as reinforcement for a centrifugal force, strength is improved sharply. Since strength is improved, even when caulked parts 33 are reduced from three parts to two parts per one blade 25, there is no problem on strength, and efficiency can be improved.
