Summary: | PURPOSE:To keep extremely stable protective capacity over a long period of time by applying clear paint composed of a fluorine-containing polymer to a top coat film through clear paint of an acrylic copolymer resin system according to a wet-on-wet system. CONSTITUTION:In painting a car body, clear paint composed of an acrylic copolymer resin is applied to a top coat film at first. Next, clear paint composed of a fluorine-containing polymer composed of a unit represented by formula I (wherein X is F or Cl and R1-R4 are H or a hydroxyalkyl group) is applied to said film according to a wet-on-wet system to form a clear film. As mentioned above, since an integral protective layer due to a clear layer having good close adhesiveness and a clear layer excellent in weatherability is formed on the top coat film, capacity stable over a long period of time is kept without performing maintenance such as waxing. |
