Summary: | PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence and progress of crack and to prevent deterioration in durability, by a method wherein fibers having no directional property are used in opposite ends, in the direction of width, of an FRP leaf spring used in a car suspension device. CONSTITUTION:An FRP leaf spring 10 is formed such that reinforced fibers are hardened by the use of matrix resin 13, and one-way reinforced fibers 16, properly arranged rectilinearly along the longitudinal direction of the leaf spring, are used in an intermediate portion 15 except opposite ends 14 in the direction of the width of the plate. Further, non-rectilinear reinforced fibers 17 having no directional property are used in the opposite ends 14 in the direction of width. This, even if the end part in the direction of width is damaged and as a result the fibers are broken, prevents progress of crack because of the fiber having no directional property, resulting in the possibility to maintain durability. |
