Summary:PURPOSE:To allow stable precision casting by forming a casting pressure between a pressure melting chamber and vacuum casting chamber and casting a metallic material under this casting pressure. CONSTITUTION:Titanium is made into a circular cylindrical ingot and is subjected to arc melting on a copper crucible 7. The pressure change in the pressure melting chamber 2 and the vacuum casting chamber 3 of this time is such that the pressure in the pressure melting chamber 2 is increased by the inflow of gaseous argon simultaneously with an arc start, as the insides of both the chambers are evacuated to a vacuum by a vacuum pump 20. The pressure in the pressure melting chamber 2 increases rapidly and the pressure in the vacuum casting chamber 3 gradually attains about >=3kg/cm when a pouring switch is pushed. A leak valve operates at this time and the pressure is maintained. The pressure difference at the point of the time when a molten metal is poured from a crucible, i.e., the casting pressure attains about >=5kg/cm . The complete crown casting body which is cast to the pointed part at the tip is obtd. in this way without having blowholes.
