Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a composite film which is superior in transparency and can maintain drip-proof properties extending over a long period of time, by a method wherein polyhydric alcohol is loaded to a water solution or water dispersions containing water-soluble polyester ether resin and inorganic colloid and a plastic film to which the foregoing matter is applied is oriented for thermal fixation. CONSTITUTION:0.1-90wt% polyhydric alcohol per solid content of dried coating is loaded to a water solution or water dispersions containing water-soluble polyester ether resin and inorganic colloid. With this loading, even if this liquid is applied to either one side or both sides of an unstretched film or a uniaxial stretched film, which is stretched uniaxially or biaxially for heat treatment, the film which does not becomes turbid in white and is favorable in transparency can be obtainable. The polyhydric alcohol means either bivalent or trivalent alcohol, a thing whose water solubility is favorable, the boiling point is more than 150 deg.C and vapor pressure at a temperature of 20 deg.C is less than 5mm.Hg is desirable and the most desirable one is glycerin.
