PURPOSE:To decrease the time of a housing abnormality processing and a mental load by providing a temporary pending part in the upper part of a cassette system housing safe to be removable. CONSTITUTION:When a paper money is set to an input port 12 and a discrimination and a counting are completed, the paper money is pended in a temporary pending part 19 in a housing safe 16, and all paper moneys are supposed to exist in the temporary pending part 19. Consequently, even when a housing defect is generated in the middle of a housing action, it is only the fact that an abnormality is generated in the housing safe 16, all paper moneys are supposed to exist in the cassette system housing safe 16 to be removable, it is sufficient to inspect the internal part of the housing safe 16, and a main body 11 side does not need to be inspected and confirmed. For such a reason, only by transferring all temporary pending residual portions to a housing part 20, a confirming work is completed. By transferring them into the housing part 20 of the housing safe 16 regardless of the existence of the generation of the housing defect, a counter updating can be executed at the time of issuing a housing instruction. Consequently, a counter updating management can be smoothly executed, and the mental load can be decreased.
