PURPOSE:To permit no defectives as well as screw cutting work of high efficiency by comparing a rotational error signal of a main shaft, operated in accordance with the synchronizing signal of a synchronous control means for a Z shaft and the main shaft and the signal of a detecting means for the main shaft, with a criterion signal and providing a judging means judging follow-up ability of a main shaft motor. CONSTITUTION:Motors have the limit of motive powers respectively, and a main shaft motor 12 causes a rotational lag according to the extent of the acceleration or the deceleration of a rotation speed comand curve 50 and a lag behind a rotation speed comand 50. So, an error signal (d) for a rotation speed is taken out in accordance with a rotation speed comand (b) and a rotation speed signal (a) detected by a detector 16, and a judging device 38 which is compared with an allowable value presetting the extent of this error is provided to emit a light emitting diode, subject to the judgement result, for indicating the limit of follow-up ability of the main shaft motor 12. Based on this a working speed is adjusted, permitting the performance of a screw cutting work of high efficiency in a high speed as much as possible without manufacturing any defectives.
