Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain unpolished rice to be boiled into tasty boiled rice without causing half-boiled rice by a home cooker by immersing washed unpolished rice in heated water, adsorbing water in the unpolished rice and boiling the unpolished rice under high pressure. CONSTITUTION:Washed unpolished rice is immersed in heated water at 60 deg.C for >=75 minutes and water is absorbed in the unpolished rice into about 1.3 times as heavy as the unpolished rice. Then the unpolished rice is boiled at 130-135 deg.C for about 10-15 minutes and optionally dried and airtightly packed.
