Summary: | PURPOSE:To enable a host system to obtain TOC (Table of Contents) information by connecting each signal of a subcode Q signal, a bit clock signal for regenerating this signal, and a clock signal to the host system. CONSTITUTION:A reproducing circuit block 24 is operated by a control circuit 26 at the time of turning on a power source to reproduce a disk 21, so that a read-in area of the disk 21 is reproduced. A regenerative signal 41 is generated by the block 24 from a signal read out of an optical head 23, and the signal 41 is inputted to a signal transmission circuit 25. The subcode Q signal 27, the bit clock signal 28 for regenerating subcode Q signal and the clock signal 29 are outputted from the circuit 25 to the host system 31 while they are inputted to the control circuit 26 at the same time. The signals 27-29 are read out respectively by the system 31 at the time of turning on the power source to obtain the TOC information. When the TOC information is obtained by the system 31, next instructions are issued in turn through a signal bus 30 to the circuit 26. |
