Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a flavored preparation for oral administration, having highly masking of disagreeable taste of the drug and exhibiting high bioavailability comparable to that of the pure drug powder by suspending fine particles of a drug having disagreeable taste in a cold solution of diethylamino acetate and spray-drying the suspension. CONSTITUTION:A drug having disagreeable taste (e.g. antibiotic substance erythromycin or anti-inflammatory analgesic ketoprofen) is dispersed and suspended in a molten oleaginous base to form fine particles. The particles are suspended in a solution of polyvinyl acetal diethylamino acetate (abbreviated as AEA) at <=10 deg.C and the suspension is spray-dried by conventional method to obtain the objective preparation. The flavored oral preparation can be administered as it is as a solid oral preparation such as granule, powder, capsule or tablet or in the form of syrup, etc., for child.
