Summary: | PURPOSE:To reduce improper pitches by providing a scanning head which detects when a mark indicating the pitch on the surface of a sheet passes and a roller encoder which generates pulses proportional in number to the moving distance of a measuring roll. CONSTITUTION:A pitch measuring apparatus 7 has a reversible counter built therein. When a scanning head 4 sequentially detects a cut mark 6 indicated every length of one circumference of a gravure cylinder, the distance from the mark 6 to the next mark 6, that is, a pitch is measured by counting the number of pulses generated at that time from an encoder 5. The measured pitch is indicated and at the same time, when the pitch exceeds the maximum and minimum limit values, an alarming buzzer 8 is turned ON. |
