Summary: | PURPOSE:To quickly start a lower rank computer and to improve the working ratio of a compound computer system with no manual operation of a device selection switch, etc., by securing a constitution where the lower rank computer selects automatically a normal coupling medium and reads a program. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 1 is connected to a lower rank computer 2 via the multiplex coupling media 6a and 6b. When the computer 2 loads an initial program, the computer 2 detects automatically the normal media 6a and 6b and reads the program out of the computer 1 via the media 6a and 6b. Thus the computer 2 selects automatically the normal media 6a and 6b and reads the initial program when this program is loaded. As a result, the manual switching operations are not required for a device selection switch. Then the computer 2 can be quickly started. |
