Summary:PURPOSE:To quickly set and cancel a desired state by selecting the type diagrams or characters displayed on a window to display a state setting menu showing the state connected to the selected type diagram or character and directly setting or canceling the state based on the state setting menu. CONSTITUTION:A state setting menu showing plural states connected to the graphics or characters is produced with designation of the graphics including a link icon, etc., displayed within a window and the characters showing the text information, etc. Then the state setting menu is displayed at a place near the window. At the same time, a state setting menu production means 10 is added to set or cancel a specific state based on the instructions for the graphics and characters of the state setting menu. Therefore a state setting menu is produced when the graphics and characters are selected within the window by means of an input pointing parts 3, 4 and 5 including a mouse 5, etc. Then the produced menu is displayed on a screen. Thus a user can directly set or cancel a state by designating an item showing a desired lower rank state. As a result, no time is required to set a desired state and the due tasks are facilitated.
