Summary:PURPOSE:To distribute refrigerant to all of indoor heat exchangers practically evenly by providing a control means whereby, when the opening of at least one of electrical expansion valves has become stopped down to a limit, all of the electrical expansion valves are opened approximately by the same degree for a specified period of time. CONSTITUTION:For example, in cooling in a system wherein the temperature T1 of the refrigerant at the outlet of each of indoor heat exchangers 7a, 7b, 7c is detected by respective sensors 11a, 11b, 11c and when the temperature detected by a sensor 11b is a maximum value, signals from a control means 10 causes the openings provided by electrical expansion valves 8a, 8c of the other indoor units 6a, 6c to be stopped down. And, for example, if the opening of the electrical expansion valve 8c has become stopped down to a limit where the flow characteristic of the refrigerant deteriorates, signals from the control means 10 causes all of the electrical expansion valves 8a, 8b, 8c to be opened approximately by the same degree for a specified period of time. Thus the openings of the electrical expansion valves 8a, 8b, 8c are all controlled uniformly and adjusted within a tolerable range so that the refrigerant is distributed virtually evenly to all of the indoor heat exchangers 7a, 7b, 7c.
