Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent user's erroneous operation at the time of editing a graph or the like and to improve the operability of a system by changing the display in each mode to enable the user to recognize the difference of mode. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit CPU 14 selects and displays a circle as a graphic from a menu for drawing in accordance with the indication of a mouse 13 and discriminates whether a cursor 22 enters in windows 20 and 21 set in the mode or not. When the cursor enters there, it is discriminated whether windows are in the circle editing state or not by the indication of the button function of the mouse 13. When the window 20 is in the editing state, the cursor 22 interlocking with movement of the mouse 13 is moved to a prescribed position in the window 20 which the user desires; and when the mouse button is clicked, it is discriminated whether there is a control point coinciding with the position of the cursor 22 or not.
