Summary:PURPOSE:To easily determine a correspondent point and to automatically and easily prepare an intermediate mapping graphic between the two graphics of different shapes by additionally setting a point, which equally divids a longest side into two parts, as the correspondent point when the correspondent point is different. CONSTITUTION:The new correspondent point is set by calculating the point, which divids the longest side into the two parts, only for the time of difference in the number of apexes to the graphic lacking the number of the apexes. Namely, respective sides ab-da in a graphic B are compared and the longest side is calculated. Then, a point (e) is set as the new correspondent point in the point, which divids the longest side da into the two parts, and accordingly, the number of the correspondent points in the graphic B is 5. Continuously, a point (f) is set as the new correspondent point samely and accordingly, since the number of the correspondent points in the graphic B is 6, the number is made equal with the number of the correspondent points in a graphic A. Next, for example, a correspondent point 1 of the graphic A and a correspondent point (a) of the graphic B are set as the correspondent point to be the reference of the two graphic A and B and the respective correspondent points are successively made correspondent in a clock-wise direction. Then, intermediate mapping processing is executed. Thus, the labor of an operator can be saved and the intermediate mapping graphic can be automatically generated.
