Summary:PURPOSE:To enable the easy connection of a positive electrode current collector without any break thereof even when a thin aluminum sheet is used as the collector by sandwiching the end winding part of the electrode with a metal cylinder and a positive electrode lead or bonding the aforesaid end part to the metal cylinder or positive electrode lead and using the cylinder as a winding core axis. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode binding agent comprising a mixture of a positive electrode active material, a conductive material and a binder, for example, is applied to both sides of an aluminum foil having 0.025mm thickness and 42mm width, thereby forming a sheet shaped positive electrode 4. On the other hand, for example, the winding core 2 of a group winding machine is coupled into the central hole of a stainless steel cylinder 1 having 3mm outer diameter, 0.2mm thickness and 45mm length. In addition, a heat-sensitive binding agent 13 is applied to the external surface of the cylinder 1 and the winding end part 5a of the positive electrode current collector 5 of a positive electrode 4 not applied with the binding agent is placed thereon for subsequent heat treatment and connection to the cylinder 1. Thereafter, a stainless steel positive electrode lead 6 having 0.2mm thickness, 2mm width and 55mm length is placed on the end part 5a and ultrasonic welded to the cylinder 1 via the end part 5a.
