Summary:PURPOSE:To attain high speed inference by installing an inference network conversion means which converts the content of an inference network table means into the form of an inference network function and executing inference through the use of the inference network function from the inference network conversion means and knowledge from a knowledge base means. CONSTITUTION:Before inference is started, the inference network conversion means 3 converts the inference network table 5 into the inference network function 4. The conversion is that from the table 5 to the function 4. Then, an inference means 1 executes inference by calling the inference network function 4 while it accesses to the knowledge of the knowledge base 2. Thus, an exchange between the inference means 1 and the inference network table 5 can be realized by one start of the function and high speed inference can be executed.
