Summary: | PURPOSE:To suppress vibration and to smoothly switch a stepping motor by sequentially performing a plurality of different miniature steps when the drive of the motor is switched from 2-phase excitation to miniature step drive or vice versa. CONSTITUTION:A ROM 1 stores a control program, and a RAM 2 stores a miniature step driving current division table and a 2-phase (or 1-phase) excitation table. When a CPU 3 switches, for example, from a 2-phase excitation to the miniature step by a command, the number of divisions of the 2-phase (A and B phases) miniature step in one drive is sequentially increased from n1 to the number n3 of divisions to be obtained. In this case, a driving current is D/A- converted by a D/A converter 5, the number of steps is latched by a latch 7, and a stepping motor 8 is driven via a driver 6. The miniature step drive is switched from the data of a speed detector 4 of the motor 8, its moving position. When returned from the miniature step, the number of divisions is reversely returned from n3 to n1. Thus, it can prevent vibration from occurring at the time of switching and smoothly switch it. |
