Summary: | PURPOSE:To obtain a sintered product of increased mechanical strength and lowered eddy current loss by kneading and forming a ferrite powder whose surface is treated with a specific organometallic compound together with an organic binder, defatting the formed product and sintering. CONSTITUTION:The ferrite powder treated as stated under is mixed with an organic binder, kneaded into a compound and extruded or injected into a formed product. The formed product is defatted and sintered to give the subject ferrite sintered product. The above starting powder of ferrite is treated, on its surface, with an organometallic compound containing at least one of titanium atom and alkoxy group, respectively, before it is mixed with an organic binder. The organic compound is, for example, i-propoxytitanium tristearate, tri-p- nonlyphenoxy-hexaethyleneoxy-isopropoxy-titanium. |
