Summary:PURPOSE:To measure the acceleration acting on a plane in a multi-axis direction looking from the center of a permanent magnet in the same gain by mounting a main housing, a sub-housing, bottom surface projections, upper surface projections, a magnetic fluid, the permanent magnet and a magnetic detection element. CONSTITUTION:A main housing 1 made of a non-magnetic body has an almost cylindrical space opened at the single end surface thereof formed therein and a sub-housing 3 made of a non-magnetic body is fixed to the main housing 1 so as to close the single end surface of said housing 1. Bottom surface projections 50a-50d are formed to the space bottom surface of the main housing 1 and upper surface projections 51a-51d are radially formed to the side surface on the space side of the sub-housing 3 respectively in opposed relation to the bottom surface projections 50a-50d. A disc-shaped permanent magnet 5 is sealed in the space along with a magnetic fluid and magnetized in the diameter direction at the peripheral surface thereof and the planar part thereof is opposed to the projections 50a-50d, 51a-51d and magnetic detection elements 12a-12d are provided between the projections and detect the position of the permanent magnet 5 to generate detection output.
