Summary:PURPOSE:To improve dehydration efficiency so as to always meet the characteristics of sludge by supplying the sludge to the space between filter cloth belts in the face-to- face superposed state in a shearing dehydration part constituted of a fixed sun roller and planetary rollers revolving in circumscription therewith. CONSTITUTION:The sludge 1 to be dehydrated is supplied onto the traveling filter cloth belt 2 and is subjected to gravity dehydration during the traveling in a gravity dehydration part G; thereafter, the sludge 1 is grasped between the two filter cloth belts 2 and 3. The sludge 1 between the belts 2 and 3 is then fed to the shearing dehydration part X and is run around the outside of the plural planetary rollers 11, so that shearing forces are successively exerted to the sludge by the rollers 11. The filter cloth belt 3 applies rotation to the rollers 11 and the rollers 11 revolve around the sun roller 10 in the same direction as the direction of the belts 2, 3 while rotating in the same direction as the rotating direction of the belts 2, 3. The revolution of the roller 11 is executed by the traveling of the belts 2, 3 without requiring the other driving power. The number of shearing times in the shearing dehydration part is thereby adjusted as desired without being limited by the number of the rolls. The dehydration efficiency of the sludge is thus improved.
