Summary:PURPOSE:To remove offensive smell of a filter cloth by a simple means and obtain excellent soy sauce by filling unrefined soy in a filter cloth brought into contact with hot water just before compressing the unrefined soy. CONSTITUTION:A filter cloth 2 wound on a winder 1 is initially pulled out and successively engaged with rollers 7 in a sterilization vessel 5 and stretched in the form of S. The filter cloth 2 is then passed through a dehydrator 8 and engaged with rollers even in a dryer 9 in the same manner as that in the sterilization vessel 5 to fix the tip thereof to a winder 3, which is used to pull and drive the filter cloth 2. Thereby, the filter cloth 2 is sterilized with hot water in the sterilization vessel 5 during conveying, then dehydrated, dried with hot air in the dryer 9, wound by the winder 3 and directly transferred to a press. Unrefined soy is then filled and compressed. The aforementioned filter cloth 2 can be also directly fed to the press in place of winding by the winder 3.
